is proud to announce the publishing of:

FDNY: The Dreyfous Collection

A Pictorial History of the Fire Department Of the City of New York

from 1912 to 1947

Albert G. Dreyfous was the official photographer for the FDNY.  Dreyfous was an Honorary Battalion Chief, as well as a member of “The Fire Bell Club” The collection was donated to the C.F.H.S. by his son Howard in 1977, and remained largely unseen for years.  Now, this photographic time capsule has been brought to life for all to enjoy.  Photos include apparatus deliveries, Medal Day Ceremonies, Fire Boats, famous FDNY Chiefs, and many historical fires that occurred in New York City during this time period.  The research for this book was conducted by members of the Connecticut Firemen’s Historical Society.  This will be a coffee table sized book produced and printed in high quality.    Royalties from the sale of this book will be used by the society for the mission of conservation and restoration of artifacts at “The Fire Museum”.     This book will be a “must have” for your fire library!  Reserve one for yourself today, or purchase one as a gift for that special “Fire Buff” in your life!
